It’s a two-man race between Durant and LeBron.
w/ Chris Paul as a distant 3rd.
Chris Palmer: Who would you most like to play one-on-one, either active or retired?
Kobe: Jordan. No question.
Chris Palmer: What would happen?
Kobe: I’m not sure, but he would win some and I would win some in a seven-game series. It would probably come down to the last few shots.
Chris Palmer: You versus LeBron? Who wins?
Kobe: Me. No question. As far as one-on-one, I’m the best to ever do it.
Chris Palmer: Damn. That's pretty confident.
Kobe: LeBron is a terrific all-around, five-on-five basketball player who’s an all-time great. But I’d get him.
Chris Palmer: Who could get you?
Kobe: Kevin Durant is the guy that would give me the most trouble. With his length and ability to use the dribble, he’d be tough.
Chris Palmer: I always wanted to see you play Tracy McGrady
Kobe: I played T-Mac. I cooked him. Roasted him. Wasn’t even close. Ask him, he’ll tell you. When I was about 20, we were in Germany doing some promotional stuff for that other sneaker company and we played basketball every day. We were in the gym all the time. We played three games of one-on-one to 11. I won all three games. One game I won 11-2. After the third game he said he had back spasms and couldn’t play anymore.
Chris Palmer: His back bothered him for most of his career.
Kobe: Well, now you know.
You’re delusional if you think Carmelo Anthony is winning the MVP. Yes, he’s playing the best basketball of his career. Yes, the Knicks are playing very well. And yes, the New York media will make a big push for ‘Melo to win it.
However, the MVP Race is between 2 players: LeBron James and Kevin Durant. With Chris Paul as a distant 3rd. As of right now, I’d give Durant the edge. Improved his all-around stats and playing the best D of his career. ‘Melo doesn’t play defense anywhere near hte level that Durant and LeBron do. Durant’s playing great D and the Thunder are the best team in the League right now. He has the edge.
It’s still LeBron’s award to lose tho. *shrugs*
Skullcandy’s Take a Supermodel to Work: Episode 1 - Kate Upton, Kevin Durant, James Harden (by SKULLCANDYTV)
It’s a good day to be on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Last night, the Thunder went up 2 games in their series against the Mavericks and now, they’re hanging out with Kate Upton.
Kevin Durant speaks the truth.
Other than flipping Durant on his side, this photo is completely unedited. No Photoshop.
They’re taking it all this year.
Thunder are just championship material.
Good job to the Dub’s tho. They put up a good fight.
Shoutout to ya, Monta.
Maybe you’ll finally get that All-Star spot.
Not everyone was so excited about Blake Griffin cannon shot dunk on Kendrick Perkins. “The People’s Champ,” Kevin Durant told ESPN’s Tim McMahon:
“I have no appreciation for it at all. It was a layup, I think. He threw the ball in and got fouled and made his free throw, so it was three points at the end of the day, no matter how it happened, how it went in the basket. I really wasn’t impressed. He finished it. So what? We’ve moved on.”
I love poor sports. I mean, I think grown men should be civil, and I think there should be a professional courtesy involved with celebrations on court, but poor sports are great for the game. Statements like the one above show you just how much Kevin Durant wants it. Is there any question how badly he wants to win?
Let’s flashback to Game 6 of the 2011 Western Conference Finals. The Dallas Mavericks had just ousted Durant’s Thunder, and Durant showed his cards.
Reporter: Dirk’s been eliminated in the first round, 3 of the last 4 years. For him to reach The Finals at this stage of his career, what kind of feelings do you have, seeing him succeed, even at your expense?
Durant:I’m not happy at all. I’m a competitor, man. I really didn’t care about what he went through last 3 or 4 years. I know it’s been tough for him, he lost 3 of the last 4 years in the first round. I’m sure he’s happy now, he’s going back to The Finals, but I’m not happy for him at all, because I wanted to be there.
You’re lying to yourself if you don’t want a guy with that attitude on your team, and you’re lying to yourself if you don’t think both of these Durant quotes are kind of cool.
I love you for being a hater, Kevin Durant.
At the same time, hating Blake Griffin is a great way to get boofed on. Nevermind. I’m gonna delete this.
